On May 21, 2024, Wild Rose School Division held a flag raising ceremony at the District Office, graced by Elders, community drummers, school trustees, executive administration, and members of our Indigenous education team. The Treaty Six and Métis Nation flags were smudged and placed in the boardroom, symbolizing unity and pride. This event started the week off in community spirit, with Elders Wilson Bearhead and Bernie Ouelette sharing valuable historical insights about the flags.
