Wild Rose School Division Indigenous Education Team Winter Gathering

The Indigenous Education Specialists supporting Rocky Mountain House, Caroline, Leslieville and Condor schools hosted a Winter Gathering for all Indigenous Families at West Central High School. The purpose of this gathering was to bring families together to enjoy an evening of Bannock Tacos and connection. Families were treated to Hoop Dancing by Shirley Hill who engaged the children in learning about the Hoop Dance. Many thanks to the Asokewin Center for the use of their kitchen and the  support of their staff in preparing the meal. The Indigenous Education Team hopes to have many more gatherings that will include both Indigenous and Non Indigenous families alike.
