West Central High School Tragedy
It is with profound sadness that Wild Rose School Division informs our community of a terrible vehicle accident this morning, resulting in the death of one of our Grade 11 students from West Central High School.
“This is very sad news for our entire school community. I know our school and community will support and help each other as we grieve together,” stated West Central High School Principal, Nathan Moore.
The Wild Rose School Division crisis management team are at West Central High School providing supports for students and staff. They will continue to be at the school tomorrow and subsequent days as needed. The school has set up an informal area where students can support each other throughout the day and have access to our Family Wellness Workers.
“This is a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, students and staff,” stated Superintendent Brad Volkman. “We will be working with everyone involved in order to care for our school community at this time.”
