Working with Alberta Education, WRSD has connected the Nordegg Education Centre to the Alberta SuperNet.  In partnership with the community of Nordegg and Clearwater County, the historic location is being renovated. The renovations will support Nordegg with access to learning materials and student connectivity through open Wifi.  

“Student learning is the priority of this SuperNet connection but please feel free to use this resource if you live in Nordegg,” stated Superintendent, Brad Volkman. “We are looking forward to seeing cars in the parking lot after hours using the connection.”

In time WRSD hopes to grow the broadband wireless network. This growth will allow for more users to access the outdoor learning center and for visitors to the museum, school and cafe to have Wifi access.  As the Nordegg  Education Centre continues to grow the Alberta SuperNet connection will remain connected to support learning and the growth of Nordegg as a whole.
