Solid Results Seen Once Again on Provincial Exams
In a year that saw the transition of the Grade 3 Provincial Achievement Tests to the Grade 3 Student Learning Assessments. Wild Rose School Division continued to post strong Provincial Exam results, especially at the Grade 9 level.
"I was very pleased with the overall accomplishment at the acceptable level." stated Chairperson, Nancy McClure. "The hard work of our dedicated professionals shows in the many areas of improvement.
Highlights from results include:

Overall performance on the Achievement Tests showed improvement at the acceptable level

Compared to last year, WRSD results improved or stayed the same on 6 out of 8 exams written by Grade 6 & 9

Math results continue to improve in Grade 6 & 9

WRSD exceeded Grade 9 Provincial achievement levels in 3 of 4 exams with Math being 0.5% below

Diploma Exam results continued to be solid with results that met or exceeded Provincial levels at the Acceptable standard on half of the exams written.

English 30 results showed improvement in both semesters
“Provincial exams provide valuable insight into student academic achievement and, overall, we are satisfied with these results,“ stated Superintendent, Brian Celli, “However, it is important that we not lose sight of the fact that these results represent only a portion of the important learning that students must do in school.”
