We are pleased to announce that Drayton Valley Ward One Trustee, Russ Hickman will serve as our Chairperson for the 2016-2017 school year. Russ was acclaimed by our Board of Trustees at the June 21, 2016 Organizational Meeting and served as Vice Chairperson for the 2015-2016 school year.

“Our division is weathering a storm of declining revenue and declining enrollment. Thanks to the leadership of former Board Chairperson, Mae Tryon, these challenges have been met head-on in WRSD with a balanced budget that is responsible, appropriate and realistic,” stated Chairperson, Russ Hickman. “I thank her for her dedication to the children of our division and know that we both share the hope that soon our schools will grow and our communities will prosper again.”

Heather Molchanko was also acclaimed as the Vice Chairperson for the 2016-2017 school year. Both Russ and Heather will serve in their positions for the 2016-2017 school year.
