On December 13, 2021, Obsidian Energy Officials made a $10,000 donation to our Purpose Hope  Dignity Project. This money will go a long way in ensuring that students are able to maintain a sense of purpose hope and dignity even though they might be experiencing financial difficulties at home.  We feel at WRSD that education is a means to ensure purpose, whereas access to support and supplies lend to Hope and Dignity. The project believes that these students are part of our community and should not be distracted or restricted by poverty. This project has ensured students do not go without basics such as running shoes, winter jackets, toques, hygiene products, and other basic essentials.  Further at this time of year PHD project does its best to ensure every child gets at least one gift for the holidays.  Besides donations from the community, such as this one,  the project is sustained by financial contributions by WRSD staff. Again we would like to thank the staff of Obsidian Energy for their kindness in supporting our students during such trying times. We will get through this together!
