On October 13th the Wild Rose School Division Board of Trustees held a special board meeting to discuss the letter sent to all school boards from the Ministers of Health and Education that strongly recommends school divisions develop policies that require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for any adult who enters a school.  During this meeting the Superintendent reviewed the following information:

• WRSD Covid-19 Hazard Assessment
• Employee and public feedback
• Operational considerations
• Practical application and enforcement
• Other school division responses
• Insurance considerations
• Legal considerations

Many questions arose regarding the implementation and enforcement of this type of policy and the Board of Trustees has asked the superintendent to gather more information to help them in making this important decision.  Once this information has been gathered, the Board will meet again at a public meeting to share this information and make their decision.
