Flex learning courses are beginning and open for registration at flex.wrsd.ca starting today!

The flex learning courses are independent and self directed in nature. Flex courses are supported in WRSD schools and at a distance by the WRSD Flex team, but students are self paced.

Creating more opportunities for students to learn is important for our students to succeed,” stated Director of Instructional Services, Jen Deyenberg. “The Flex program gives our students access to local teachers delivering authentic, engaging content in a flexible delivery model.”

How does Flexible Programming Work?

• You mostly control what you learn, how you learn it and how you demonstrate your understanding
• It is your responsibility to balance your workload and pace yourself
• The option to try something different is always available
• It is required that you ‘check-in’ with your teacher. The best way to contact your teacher is by email or Google chat (and this should be done regularly)
• If it works, you are welcome to attend your teacher’s classroom or book a time for any extra help.
• There will be times that you will be required to be involved in an online or in-person discussion
