David Thompson High School Granted Modernization Project
Wild Rose School Division is excited to announce that Alberta Education has approved an $8.0M modernization project for David Thompson High School. The Modernization project planning is currently underway with a prime consultant being selected shortly. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2016 with a goal to complete the project in September 2018. The modernization project will include:
- New 550 square meter gymnasium
- re-purpose old gymnasium for CTS, gym change rooms and storage
- Demolish existing CTS space
- Increase of 185 square meters and would include some common gathering area
- New furniture and fixtures for the common gathering area
“I am very excited for what this modernization will bring to our school for the students, staff and community that we support,” stated Principal, Miles Trieber. “This project will allow us to serve the needs of our school community.
