After School Care Program
Leah Odynski and Kathy Murch presented to the Board of Trustees an option for providing before and after school care in Drayton Valley. This is a service that is no longer available to our parents. The Board made a motion for WRSD to determine the viability of offering this program by offering a pre-registration process, and to start the licensing and accreditation process. Once it has been determined how many families would utilize this service a decision will be made whether to offer this program.
Accountability Reports
The Board of Trustees heard presentations on the following accountability reports:
Technology Accountability Report
Transportation Accountability Report

Drayton Valley Schools
With the Evergreen replacement school scheduled to open next year, the naming process for the new school needs to be started. A committee will be formed following our AP 541 Naming of Facilities and a list of suggested possible names will be brought to the Board in December.
Once the Evergreen replacement school is open, and following our commitment to Alberta Education to improve our utilization rates, we may consider closing Eldorado School. A public meeting will be held in November to gather feedback and present a few possible scenarios regarding Wild Rose School Division’s long term plans.
