Discussion with Local MLA’s
Jason Nixon, MLA for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre and Mark
Smith, MLA for Drayton Valley-Devon attended the meeting to discuss about the challenges and growth of education. Chairman Russ Hickman shared on the many successes Wild Rose School Division has had in the last year. Discussion was also held on the Alberta Education funding formula, maintenance funding and transportation funding. Questions were also asked about the impact the carbon tax would have on WRSD and the growth of First Nation Métis and Inuit programs in WRSD.

International Field Trips
- The West Central High School field trip to Los Angeles scheduled for this year has been canceled by the school
- The Breton High School Field Trip is being re-scheduled to 2018
