The March 24, 2020 Board meeting was held electronically through Google Hangout Meet. This was the first time the Board of Trustees held an entire meeting electronically, and the format worked well.
2021 - 2024 Three Year Capital Plan
The Board of Trustees reviewed the 2021 - 2024 Capital Plan, and approved it for submission. The plan included two priorities; the Drayton Valley schools, and right-sizing Breton schools. WRSD will submit an updated plan for priority one after the regional planning study results are received and reviewed.
Closure of Eldorado School
The Board previously passed a motion to close Eldorado School when Evergreen School opens. However, if we can start the next school year as Evergreen students and staff operating in the Eldorado building, it will avoid the confusion and challenges of changing school names and codes partway through the year. The Board approved the motion to close Eldorado School effective June 30, 2020.
