2022-2025 WRSD Capital Plan

The Board of Trustees approved the Three Year Division Capital Plan, which prioritizes in order the Right-sizing of Breton Schools, the Modernization and Right-sizing of École Rocky Elementary, and a major modernization of Frank Maddock High School.  This supports Wild Rose School Divisions goal of providing excellent education in modern school facilities that support 21st century learning and program delivery.

Naming the Corridor Replacement Schools

The Corridor naming committee submitted their suggestions for the replacement schools in Condor and Leslieville.  The Board passed a motion to choose David Thompson High School for the grade 7-12 replacement school in Leslieville.  However, instead of choosing a name for the K-6 replacement school in Condor, they asked that the committee bring a community supported suggestion to the next board meeting.

Edwin Parr Nominee

Dave Elwood, Director of Human Resources introduced this year’s Edwin Parr nominee.  Jadeyn Leenstra, currently teaching at Caroline School will represent Wild Rose School Division at the Zone 4 Edwin Parr Awards.  Jadeyn and Principal Dean Pilipchuk joined the meeting and the board had an opportunity to ask questions and offer their best wishes.  Congratulations Jadeyn!
