Organizational Meeting
At the June 18, 2019 organizational meeting, Russ Hickman was declared board chair, and Julie Andrew was declared vice-chair. The board approved the 2019-2020 Meeting Dates, the 2019-2020 Committee Appointments, the 2019-2020 Work Plan, and no change to the Current Compensation Rates.
2019-2020 Spring Budget
The Board approved the 2019-2020 Spring Budget, which includes an estimated $1.6 million dollar deficit. Once more details from the Provincial budget are known, Wild Rose School Division is hopeful that this deficit may decrease.
ASBA Headstrong Youth Summit Presentations
The Board heard from two students who attended the Youth Summit in early June. The students were enthusiastic and well spoken about what they had learned and their overall positive experience.
- Health & Safety Committee update, Tipi Teachings at the Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site, Constable Blair Gillman will present at the International School Safety Institute Conference: Beyond the Edge, WiFi 6 in WRSD, Minister’s Student Summary Advisory Panel, Aspiring Leaders Cohort.
