Election Agreements
The Board agreed to enter Election Services Agreements with our community partners in Drayton Valley, Brazeau County, Breton, Rocky Mountain House, Clearwater County and Caroline. This will make it easier for constituents to vote for their school board trustees in the municipal elections next October.
Drayton Valley Replacement School
The Board chose the name HW Pickup Middle School for the replacement middle school in Drayton Valley. The campus will be shared with Drayton Christian School, who will retain their original name. They chose Powerhouse Campus as the name for the shared campus. The names were recommended by the naming committee who sent out a public survey for suggestions.
Board Dates and Board Work Plan
The Board reviewed potential meeting dates and potential items for the work plan, however neither will be finalized until after the new board is elected in October.
