The positive role many of our employees play in the lives of our students is one of the most important aspects of the work they do. The Student Select Award recognizes WRSD Employees who create an environment that allows students to succeed. We know that many of our staff help our students succeed every day but this award allows students to recognize that special staff member who made a difference for them.

For the 2015-2016 school year this award was given to four outstanding staff members in WRSD:

• Division I (K-3) - Lori Allen from École Rocky Elementary
• Division II (4-6) Dean Townsend from Condor School
• Division III (7-9) Christine Heinrich from HW Pickup Jr High
• Division IV (10-12) James Fuller from Caroline School

“Giving our students the chance to recognize the work of our staff is a tremendous honour,” stated Superintendent, Brad Volkman. “For our staff who are selected and nominated, it is a fabulous sign of respect that the work they give daily makes a difference in the lives of our students.”
