The Student Select Award is given to Wild Rose School Division Employees whose daily work contributes to the powerful learning environments found in WRSD. This award gives WRSD students the chance to recognize the impact staff members are having in their lives. Being able to recognize the dedication, skill, compassion and insight that is required to work in WRSD allows students to actively participate in celebrating WRSD employees. For the 2014-2015 school year this award was given to four outstanding staff members in WRSD:

• Kathy Haglund from Drayton Christian School (Division 1)
• Ryan Smith from Leslieville School (Division 2)
• Matt Masi from West Central High School (Division 3)
• Pat Jeffery from The Drayton Valley Community Outreach School (Division 4)

“Daily I am reminded of the fantastic work that our staff do to support and build our students here in WRSD,” stated Superintendent, Brian Celli. “To be able to see that our students want to recognize the hard work of our staff is a fantastic sign that staff here in WRSD are teaching our students what they need in order to succeed.
