A FULL TIME GRADE 6-8 BAND TEACHER

For Pioneer Middle School in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta

 
Applications are invited for a Probationary Full Time Grade 6-8 Band Teacher.

Pioneer Middle School's nationally recognized Band program is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Band teacher/director who will introduce grade 6 students to brass and woodwind instruments and oversee the growth & development of young musicians from diverse backgrounds through grades 7 & 8. In addition to Band, the position will include a component of other teaching duties at the middle school level suitable to the successful candidate's abilities and the needs of the school. Strong organizational skills as well as the desire and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, parents, and the community in a student-centred middle school environment is required.  A degree in music education or equivalent is preferred.

Duties will commence with the 2025/2026 school year on August 25, 2025. 

Pioneer Middle School is a dual track grade 6-8 English and French Immersion school, located

in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Pioneer School is a professional learning community with

high expectations, committed to ensuring that all students achieve academic, social and

emotional success and growth within a safe, caring, healthy and positive environment.

The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.
