
Summer Camp School Information & Sign Up
Currently registration is not open yet - It will open May 12
Students will spend 5 days on site at Hunter Valley Adventures South West of Caroline being outdoors, trail riding, hiking, orienteering, cooking and participating in adventure learning. Students will travel by bus, stay in cabin style accommodation and help prepare meals. Credits Earned: PE 10 and 7 CTS Credits in Information Processing, Human & Social Services, Wildlife & Tourism. On-site guides and staff and two WRSD teachers will support student learning and safety.
***Students may be assigned to take PE 10 again in the fall at their school and offered other credits in REC CTS or PE 10 - 5 Credit. The PE offered in summer is only 3 credit***
Scheduled Weeks:
June 30 - July 4
July 7-11
There will be 24 spots available each week. The only fee will be $150 to cover the cost of food. All activity, housing and transportation costs are covered.
Before students leave they will complete WLD 1010, INF 1070 and TOU 1010 to prepare for the trip. The course will be delivered online, via Google Classroom with full teacher support. The courses provide foundational knowledge and two more high school credits. The class will be shared with the student when they sign up and they can complete them before they leave.
During camp the students will receive PE 10, WLD 1100, WLD 1060, HSS 1100 and TOU 1120. 10 credits will be earned in total.
