Despite having an opening for the position of Associate Superintendent - Learning Services, Wild Rose School Division will not be filling this position. Instead, duties will be realigned within the Division Office senior leadership team to increase efficiency moving forward. Current Associate Superintendent of Central Services, Greg Wedman will be taking on new duties in the area of Learning Services and will now serve as the Deputy Superintendent.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our senior leadership team to consider ways we can more efficiently serve the needs of our staff and schools,” stated Superintendent, Brad Volkman. “This is especially true during the difficult economic realities being experienced in our communities and school division.”

This new structure will be piloted during the 2016-17 school year and evaluated throughout the year. If this change does not work well, WRSD will once again fill the position of Associate Superintendent.

“Change is always challenging and I am very pleased with the new direction and structure of our senior administration team,” stated Chairperson Mae Tryon. “Knowing Greg for as long as I have I am confident  he will excel in this expanded position.”
