The demolition of the old Eldorado Elementary School and H.W. Pickup School buildings are Government of Alberta managed projects.  Demolition work on the Eldorado Elementary School is underway and expected to be completed Summer 2024. Demolition work on the old H.W. Pickup School is expected to begin Spring 2024 and expected to be completed in Fall 2024.

Both schools will be responsibly decommissioned and systematically taken down. Some heavy equipment will be used, including trucks that will haul waste off-site for disposal.

We have highly qualified specialists ensuring any hazardous material containment and removal is completed under strict provincial safety requirements, in a manner that assures the safety of residents, students and staff.  

After demolition both sites will be regraded and landscaped.
