Drayton Valley Healthy Coalition

The Board passed a motion to approve the selection of one WRSD Board member to sit on the working committee of the Healthy Communities Coalition for the duration of Dr. Unger’s project and to support it moving forward. This is a five year, five million dollar project taking place in Ontario, Drayton Valley and two places in Africa regarding boom and bust cycles in the economy.

School Resource Officers

School Resource Officer, Harold Smits who works in the Rocky Mountain House area, attended the board meeting to speak with the Board. He addressed the board on his success working in the schools, the history of the program and growth.
